Description: Planned control modifications to breakers B/DLA/1 and B/DLA/2 on the Powerstation B Output Board. The work will be undertaken by Rolls-Royce Solutions under an approved Method of Procedure, Risk Assessment and Method Statement, with a Global Switch Permit to Work in place. Appropriate checks and safeguards will be completed before commencement, including verification of the auxiliary supply batteries and diagnostics panel and confirmation with UK Power Networks that no external activity could affect the supply. The planned working hours are: 08:00–12:00: B/DLA/1 modifications 13:00–17:00: B/DLA/2 modifications
Risk: Low
Customer impact: No impact to customers’ A or B power supplies is anticipated. During the maintenance periods, resilience will be temporarily reduced only for the system’s auxiliary supplies. The main system will be fully operational before the work begins.
Rollback plan: If network activity or another issue presents an unacceptable risk, the work will be postponed, or the isolated auxiliary supply will be restored as quickly and safely as possible.
