Work Breakdown 01/06/26 circa 08.00 - Isolation of 132KV Transformer NUTM T1 10/06/26 circa 17.00 - Reinstatement of 132KV Transformer NUTM T1
Purpose of Project To allow UK Power Networks (UKPN) to carry out external network substation commissioning. Systems Impacted No building impact is anticipated. All load will be transferred seamlessly onto 132KV Transformer NUTM T2 with no loss of power to customers. Method of Procedure The switching activities will be coordinated between UK Power Networks and Global Switch via telephone contact. All switching will be carried out by UK Power Networks to the Global Switch approved Method of Procedure to ensure a seamless operation when transferring load from one transformer to the other. Work Permits: This operation is carried out remotely by UK Power Networks and no permits are required. Risk Analysis The switching operations will be carried out by UK Power Networks Control and will be seamless to the Global Switch infrastructure. All switching operations are carried out upstream of London East incoming supplies and therefore the building will remain DRUPS/UPS backed at all times. Mitigation Measures No switching operations will be permitted unless both UK Power Networks and Global Switch are happy that the switching does not present any risk to the building load. Back out Plan No immediate back out is available once Transformer NUTM T1 is isolated. In the event of an issue with NUTM T2 Transformer Global Switch will request UKPN to abort commissioning activities to allow NUTM T1 to be returned to service. Recovery time is estimated at 4 hours during working hours and 6 hours at any other time.
